Life's Lessons

Life's journey is a pint of mixed emotions, best enjoyed with good company and a dash of laughter. Never let the sun go down on an argument, and remember nobody ever lay on their deathbed wishing they'd spent more time at the office. The little things — a brew, a walk, a laugh with your family — turn out to be the big things.

Words of Wisdom

Be kind first and right second. Save a little from every wage packet. Learn one good joke and tell it badly for forty years — it becomes yours. And when in doubt, put the kettle on.

A Letter to the Family

To Tanya, Fred, Ted, Maddy and Bob — if you're reading this, know that every single day with you was the point of it all. I wasn't a rich man, but I was the wealthiest fella in Warrington by any measure that matters. Look after each other, laugh often, and don't leave it too long between Sunday dinners.

Proudest Accomplishments

While I'm proud of my career achievements and personal milestones, some of my proudest accomplishments are deeply connected to my roots in Warrington. Leading the fundraising effort for a new community garden in the heart of town was a fulfilling experience. It wasn't just about creating a beautiful space, but also about fostering a sense of togetherness and providing a place for people to connect with nature.

Fifty years, you daft beggar, and you still make me laugh every single day. Don't let this page go to your head.

Everything I know about joinery — and most of what I know about life — I learned in Graham's workshop. Best boss in Warrington, no contest.

Dad, you're embarrassing us all with this page and we love you for it.

Proud of you, Dad. The community garden looks brilliant this summer — everyone who walks past asks after you.
