We've rebuilt the Loving Memoirs website from the ground up. The old site was showing its age — slow at busy times, and held together by a stack of plugins that made every change harder than the last. The new site is a fresh build, designed to be faster, steadier, and easier for us to improve going forward.
What's changed
The look and feel is the same warm, respectful design you know — same black and gold theme, same layout for memorial pages, same QR plaques. What's changed is what's underneath:
- Faster page loads. Memorial pages and the store now load in a fraction of the time they used to.
- More reliable. Fewer moving parts means fewer things that can break.
- Real online payments. Card payments are now processed securely and instantly at checkout, rather than the previous manual email-a-payment-link process.
What hasn't changed
Every memorial, tribute, photo and video that existed before the move is still here, exactly as it was. Every QR plaque already engraved and in someone's hands still works and still points to the right page — that was one of our most important rules for this rebuild: a plaque, once sent out, must never break.
Your account, login, and any pages you've already created carried across untouched. There's nothing you need to do.
What's next
This move also means we can build new things faster. Recent additions include a 7-day free trial of the full memorial page, a new Couple's Memorial page for two people sharing one tribute, and updates to our mobile app — more on both below.
